About OffCuts
OffCuts are rooted in sculptural practice, rethinking the process of building a shoe from a new perspective—experimenting with the possibilities of 3D printing and exploring forms that would not be achievable through traditional manufacturing methods. The physical act of carving is translated into the digital space by creating a custom tool within a 3D program to sculpt the shoe from a single block of material, piece by piece. The result is a hybrid of digital design and subtractive sculptural technique, a dialogue between prehistoric references and futuristic tooling.
About the Creator
I see shoes as something in between object, sculpture, and design — little architectures built around human foot. Drawn to contrasts and unexpected relations, my work blends traditional craftsmanship with new technologies and innovative materials, combining precise engineering with the raw and imperfect. When I design, I’m trying to balance aesthetic, functional, and environmental aspects.
